Use Pen Drive Correctly

Pen Drive or Memory Card is now heart & soul for computer user. But due to lack of knowledge Pen Drive & Memory Card are the cause of viruses. Most of the time PC affected with viruses by wrong usage of Pen Drive.

But if you follow a simple trick you can avoid virus:

After inserting Pen Drive in USB port don’t click on Pen Drive icon twice.

From Tools options Select Folder Option. Then on Show Hidden Files.

Right click of mouse over Pen drive icon & select Explorer to open it.

Delete all hidden/unclear files. 

Now you are free to work with Pen Drive.

You can also check your pen drive with different renowned anti-viruses software before using it.

Hide Run Menu from Start Panel

Where is the location of Run Menu? You can get it in Start Menu.

If you don’t like to see Run in Start menu follow this tips. Write regedit in Run box. Click Ok. 

Registry Editor window will open. From HKEY_CURRENT_USER go to Software – Microsoft – Windows – Current Version – Policies – Explorer. Now look in the right side of the panel. Double Click NoDrive Type AutoRun. In the Value Data write No Run. Type: REG_DWORD[DWORD VALUE], Value: [0 = disabe restriction, 1 = enable restriction]

Make Icon with Your Own Picture

We love to see our picture in folder icon. But we don’t know the process of making icon with our own picture.

Here is the process:

Download Image Icon software. It is 1.01 mb sized software. Install it. Open the image icon software. Now drag the picture with your mouse in this software which picture you want to make as icon. Icon will built instantly.

How to change icon picture:

Right click of mouse over the icon. Go to properties/customize/change icon. Now by browsing select your new icon. That’s all.

Enjoy the new look.

Add Picture in Gmail Without Attaching

If you want to send any picture through e-mail you need to attach first. But Gmail has other option by which you don’t need to attach pictures.

Just follow the steps:

At first log in with your gmail id. From Settings go to Labs option. Now try to find Inserting Images. Enable it & save the settings.

You will see Inserting Images icon will appear in compose box. Click this icon & add picture(which you want to attach). You can add picture over, middle & under the text message.

Hide Files & Folders Without Using Folder Guard

Everyone has some private files & folders which we don’t want to share with others. We can hidden them easily without using any privacy software like Folder Guard, Fake Folder etc.

To hidden files or folders you need to be installed Excel in PC. First I tell you how to lock your files. Open Microsoft Excel. From Insert go to object & click Create from File Tab. Now browse your desired file.(which file you want to lock). Insert it. Now from File – Save As go to Tools. From General Options add secret code or password & save it. Your file is ready for lock.

You can follow same process in the folder too. If you want to hide folder first follow this step.

First convert the folder to zip file. Now insert the file into Excel & follow all previous steps.

Log in Facebook from Another Account

Facebook – what can I say about it. At present it is the most famous community sites. I guess you know better than me. It has so many options to explore.

It has some unique features which you will not find in other community sites. You can log in Facebook from Google, Yahoo or with any other open id.

To enable this option Log in with your Facebook id. Go to Accounts Settings. From Linked accounts click Add a new Linked Account. Now add any Id by which you want to log in Facebook. & click link new Account. If you want to open Facebook with gmail id from new window Log in with gmail id & click allow. By this way you can add as many Ids you like to add. If you enter in Facebook with these new Ids you can’t automatically sign out or log out.
